"Once airborne, I discovered the Thorp has the most delightfully harmonised and responsive controls in all three axes.....Here is a plane that will teach students what their feet are for."
PRIVATE PILOT MAGAZINE

Test fly Thorp T- 211. When you do, you will understand what all the fuss is about. This "cracking little aircraft" (John Green, Club Co-ordinator, Denham Airport) is causing a stir wherever it is seen.

The Thorp T-211's excellent performance is derived primarily from a better power to weight ratio and clean aerodynamic lines. Short take off roll, excellent climb rate and an excellent cruise speedare the results. While the T-211 roll rate is quick by comparison and allows lively response to control inputs, it is extremely stable in straight and level flight - like you would expect from a much heavier aircraft.

The simple design and low parts count, mean that the T-211 has a very  low down-time  compared to other aircraft in its class. The all aluminium airframe, with corrosion resistant coating as standard, is strong, durable and virtually maintenance free. The Continental 0-200 engine is used in the production aircraft because of its proven reliability and availability of parts.

The aircraft is certified for day, night and IFR operation to maximise utilisation in any environment.

"A compact and cleverly designed aircraft"
PILOT MAGAZINE

The centre of gravity location and the corrugated low wing and empannage design makes the T-211 virtually impossible to spin. Stall, when it occurs is extremely docile and happens at 39 knots (power on) with no tendency to drop a wing. An excellent view in front of the wing's leading edge, and unrestricted visibility upward and to the sides, gives the pilot confidence - even in the most congested traffic patterns.

The T-211 is an aircraft so exhilarating and maneouvrable that it satisfies the most experienced pilot - yet so well-mannered that  quickly instills confidence in the low-time pilot. In addition, low operating costs combine with outstanding performance to make the T-211 the perfect choice for flying clubs, training or just plain fun.

The T-211 can be operated with a Public Transport Certificate of Airworthiness, and even at full fuel can carry two 13 stone crew.

Experience the Thorp T-211 for yourself and discover what those who have flown it are so excited about.

The T-211 was designed by one of aviation's most noted designers, John Thorp, whose work includes the Piper Cherokee and the T-18. the full-flying stabilator gives the T-211 excellent pitch control, and the control forces (utilising smooth ball-bearing push-pull tubes) are so light and well-harmonised that maneouvres are exhilarating.
